Description: Bergen-Belsen concentration camp on 17 September 1944. A group of prisoners can be seen in the square designated for roll-calls, in which they had to stand for hours, silently and at attention. Often in the burning sun or the rain, snow or frost, prisoners would stand in a square-shaped formation while the SS counted them.
