Market Garden aerial images released

Low-level aerial photographs of key bridges at Arnhem and Nijmegen have been released on the NCAP website.

The photographs were taken by low-flying RAF Spitfires almost two weeks before the launch of Operation MARKET GARDEN, the attempt by Allied airborne troops in September 1944 to capture a series of bridges over Dutch waterways in a bid to hasten the end of the Second World War.
