BKS Surveys was established in Leatherhead, Surrey, in 1956, with its main business activities being aerial photography and topographic survey. By 1967, the company had moved its operations to Coleraine, Northern Ireland. The company joined the Fugro group in 2008, becoming Fugro-BKS.
